Ever since Grand Theft Auto first came out back in 1997 (god that was ages ago!) I have always said to myself, and others, that nothing would beat it, that it is a unique game that would be on our console systems for years to come. I was right about one thing – it has been on our console systems for years and has just sold over 10 million copies of GTA IV worldwide. But now I am asking myself – is it still the best, or has something better come along to challenge it?

Like you, I didn't enjoy the first one at all. I thought it tried to hard to be like GTA, but SR2 gives me the impression that the developers just thought "sod it, lets make this game, fun, stupid and enjoyable".

As for you thinking you might not play much of SR2 - I thought this as I wasn't particularly obsessed with the first one, but honestly...this game was really addictive for me and I suppose the reason why is because it's soooooo fun to play. Even if you don't fancy doing the missions, just grab a rocket launcher and blow the crap out of cars or petrol stations...really fun
