In a statement straight from the [Only registered users can see links. ], Microsoft will present Xbox Live users with the Xbox Rewards program, starting with the "Old Spice Experience Challenge".

Wait a minute... Old Spice?

Yes, starting on February 12th, gamers 13 and over will be able to earn actual rewards like games and other prizes in accordance to the amount of Gamerscore achievements they collect. Participation in the program is free, but requires a valid Windows Live ID and an Xbox Live gamercard.

Additionally, some rewards challenges will require an Xbox 360 with a memory unit or hard drive, an Xbox Live Gold or Silver-level subscription, and, of course, the appropriate 360 or XBLA games.

Depending on your current annual Gamerscore, you will be placed in one of three levels upon registering:

Level 1 (0 - 4,999): The level meant for beginning gamers. Challenges will generally be easier, but the rewards will be smaller.

Level 2 (5,000 - 9,999): The intermediate level for gamers who straddle the line between casual and hardcore. Challenge levels increase, as do the reward values.

Level 3 (10,000 and up): The highest possible level with the most difficult of challenges and the most valuable of rewards.
Gamers who improve or decline in Gamerscore points will rise or fall in level in accordance to their final score at the end of the calendar year.

The first Xbox Rewards Challenge will be the "Old Spice Experience Challenge", in which gamers are required to increase their Gamerscore by 1,500 points or more within two months, starting on February 12th. Those who successfully complete the challenge will receive a rewards package in accordance to their current gaming level:

Level 1:
A free copy of Konami's Contra on XBLA (retail value: $5)
An exclusive Old Spice Level 1 Xbox Rewards gamer picture
An experience upgrade to Level 2

Level 2:
Contra for XBLA
A Level 2 Xbox Rewards gamer picture
100 Microsoft Points
An experience upgrade to Level 3

Level 3:
Contra for XBLA
A Level 3 Xbox Rewards gamer picture
200 Microsoft Points
An Old Spice T-shirt (retail value: $10)
A copy of Fusion Frenzy 2 (retail value: $50)

Prizes will be limited and will be issued on a first win-first serve basis.
Microsoft will be announcing new challenges as the program progresses. They will also be monitoring the challenges and punishing cheaters to assure all users that they will have an equally enjoyable experience.

Gamers can begin registration on February 12th at [Only registered users can see links. ].

Great new scheme - rewarded for being an awesome gamer

Sounds great to me, now I read it properly anyway lol

Although, kinda disagree with the 'gamers over 13' bit. I can see why, but, doesn't mean I have to agree with it
