How to Flash your 360 and backup/burn games

As in easier than what it is already? - Changing the drive, or soldering, or some crap. An easier method would be better, that I can understand and requires no soldering . My bro might get his 360 for xmas in that case then .

right....bare with me im a noob with the 360!!!!

i got the sata cable coming and dual layer dvds, but me being a wasp(impatient) i have downloaded 2 games ready. i had to use mega share cause the uploader had all the games i wanted, i also had to use a download manager with megashares.
the problem is that is gave me a index.php file instead of a game.iso file.
can i just rename the index.php file to game.iso?

Is the index.php the right size for a game? - Eg over 7GB?

Does the uploader say it's downloaded as an iso or a rar?

yes they are the right size
as far as i can tell its supposed to be .iso

Rename it to .iso and use xDVD mulleter to check the iso for stealth patch, ixtreme compatability, and well just to make sure it's fine. You can also use it to make the .dvd file .

thanx bex, looks like it was just a download manager thing. i changed it to iso and used the mulleter software and it looks all good.

No problem . Flashget does that to me sometimes, and sometimes it does just download an index.php 3kb file o.O lol.

i have had that before too...the 3kb file!

with the size being the same i thought it would have been ok to rename, but its always best to ask first
