It happend to me today . I am sending in my 360 so I wont be able to play for at least 3 weeks. The wife will love that

Hope they fix it back up for ya nice, and don't give ya a non flashable drive back lol.

I had RROD a few months back , sent it to M$ (even though it had been flashed, I managed to get the warranty sticker back on it almost perfectly lol) and got it back repaired in a couple of weeks complete with new motherboard and new DVD drive. They also gave me a months free Live gold membership for 'my inconvenience'). My new drive was flashable .

RROD is the scariest thing Ive seen in a long time but, Microsoft made it all better .

Yeah I was really impressed with the service Microsoft provided for getting your poorly 360 repaired. Only took 8 days to go to Germany, get it fixed and have it shipped back to me...I also got 1 months free gold and an apology letter explaining what was wrong with the 360. I then had to fill in a form and say whether or not I liked the service. I have to say, I pretty much sounded like I worshipped Microsoft in the feedback form - everything was 'Excellent' lol.

Yeah I get a free month as well. Also my sticker is intact and you can't even tell I opened it I should be good to go
