How to Flash your 360 and backup/burn games

Found a great pdf on how to flash your 360 and worked a treat for me

Silicon img chipsets for Sata don't appear to work though.

I haven't got a definitive list of those that do, but, i would strongly recommend you get hold of a VIA VT6421A PCI Sata card as it works a treat.
It also has 3 ports, but only one of them will detect the 360 and that is the bottom one (opposite end to the port thats external when installed )

the guide does look easy. will show my cousin this as he's alwasy complaing about game prices.

might get a 360 now they're reduced in price and flash it.
but still be scared to do it. on a scale 1 to 10 how hard was it?

I'm scared to flash mine... what if I get caught, no more xbl? What if I mess up and it breaks? What if my 360 breaks, can I unsoft mod it to send it back? IM SCARED!!!!

You can restore the original firmware but to flash it you have to open up the console so unless you can keep the warranty sticker from being voided (I tried very hard and it still voided, some people have done it though) then the warranty is dead anyway.

Many games now are stealth patched and ixtreme is supposed to be pretty safe for stopping you being banned but, its always a risk.

I have to say also that once you flash and start with the backups, it kinda ruins the 360 . Wanting the games with a passion, buying them when you got the cash and playing them = . Downloading, burning and playing = fun for a while but its only a short while and then youre downloading the next game = .

I actually regret flashing my 360, I wanted it for so long, loved it and now....not the same. Still love it though .

Well, I flashed mine already Used the guide above. Worked great.

Read up about the stealth patched and what not before I did it though. Downloaded a few games before i got it, praying i could flash it easily. Luckily I was.

I think, the trick is though, not to burn/download games, like, every day. Space the time out between when you get new games, so it still feels like you're "buying" them, but not, but, still having to wait.
Not the same as saving up to buy them, but the anticipation is there

I hacked my 360 quite a while ago, and was banned from Live about 3 months after. This was before all the new firmwares though. The stats in my signature below are from games that I play on my new 360 (I have 2, one hacked and one not). Obviously any games that I play on my hacked console don't count towards my gamerscore
