Saints Row 2 Gets a Release Date

It looks like THQ has finally announced exactly when the sequel to Saints Row should be released. The game is now slated to drop for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 26 of this year. There’s also a new [Only registered users can see links. ] for the game up, which is predictably decked out in copious amounts of bling. I guess that’s probably the best time for the game to be released: far enough from the GTA IV release so most people will have finished that game and not too close to competing with the AAA Christmas titles. The first Saints Row was probably the best Grand Theft Auto knock off around, so I’m sure the sequel will have it’s fair share of fun.
