PAL VC might get NTSC games later on

This is the latest news on VC games for European Wii owners. Looking likely that NTSC games will eventually be offered to PAL countries. Good news:

A spokesperson for Nintendo UK told Eurogamer earlier that there was "always the potential for games that haven't seen the light of day in Europe to be on the Virtual Console. The Virtual Console is the perfect platform for them". This could also mean the eventual arrival of games previously unseen in the United Kingdom, such as Chrono Trigger for the SNES. Remarked the spokesperson, "I can't speak for third parties, but if it's the right game then there's absolutely no reason why it should just be a first party game".

Of course, this is all speculatory at this point. Current policy is to keep VC games relegated to the particular regions they were previously released in. At the same time, George Harrison, Nintendo of America's VP has also said that he was open to previously unavailable Japanese games getting released in the US provided they were "translated properly". You can definitely bet that American games heading to UK shores won't be as big a hassle for translators as Japanese to American.

It's nice to hear that Nintendo realise PAL countries exist - Sony dont .

Would be great to get NTSC games here - why not? We love VC games too

Although, i still havent downloaded anything lol (£7 for a game which i can get free n run on me PSP? lol )

I hope we do get NTSC games though even if I dont download em, I know theres lots who will really want it
