That's right - if you don't want to have to wait longer for their Wii, or pay for one at astronomical prices, the best thing to do may be to buckle down and wait.

The advice comes in light of the recent sales. The next time you visit your local retails store, try to make small-talk with the clerks to see how many console every guy buys.

Chances are, they will say the occasional buyer bags multiple Wiis, who in turn says they're meant for relatives and friends. The sad truth is, you will probably see the same console(s) up for auction at jacked up price tags.

The rule here is that these guys do so because they know there will always be somebody out there desperate enough to meet the demands. And when somebody does buy the unit on their terms, there is a good chance some of them will use the extra earnings to head out and buy more consoles. Repeat-rinse the cycle.

In the reverse order, though, less bids also means less chances these guys have to auction the unit. This translates into them making less potential profits, and less chances of buying the Wii, in turn giving buyers a better chance of snagging one.

In the mean time, we advise reviewing some [Only registered users can see links. ], and get ahead in the game come the next shipment.

"When the buying stops, the killing will too!"
Baaaaaaaaaad ebay ppl lol
Ahh, yeah, it does make perfect sense
Once sales die down on ebay, less ppl will be buying them to sell on ebay. I gotta admit though, I seen some wii's in stock the other day, and twas very tempted to get one, to sell on ebay as I already have one - Probably a good thing I had to catch a train home lol, otherwise I mite have bought it
I'm actually surprised though that some places will let ppl buy more than one if they're in stock. I know some places round near me, they will only let you buy one. Sure ya could come back and get another one in say 30mins time, but, that takes effort lol

Grrr....

I want a Wii but I'm not buying off eBay. It's ridiculous, I don't blame the sellers at all, if you have a chance to make easy money then who can blame you (and retailers are just greedy - look at the preorders stupidity - taking more preorders than they could ever have supplies to fulfil)...it's Nintendo that I'm blaming, they should've made sure they had more units ready for the UK release or even just to meet demand now - where's the shipments?

Where the hell are the Wii's, Nintendo....Huh?!!!

Oh...ignore me, I have a mini Wii rant occassionally, Im fine

I agree with both of you. But screw bidding on ebay for a Wii. I almost did but then thought eh...I can wait a few more months. Plus if people can make money.....then make them ends... but they won't do it at the high cost of me (does that make sense?)

Makes sense to me. I almost bid on a Wii a few times. Could've bought one so many times but, I just won't. Something stops me. I'll wait patiently, for now

*goes to check eBay, just in case there's a cheap Wii *
