Nintendo's wireless Nunchuk already in development?

Yeah, you read the title right. A supposed wireless [Only registered users can see links. ] is in the works. Some sources have reported that this was brought about by complaints of how the dangling wire that links [Only registered users can see links. ] becomes a distraction especially in games that [Only registered users can see links. ].

This makes absolute sense, don't you say so? If you think about it, Nintendo's got all the reason to make these controllers wireless. It's going to be all for the gamer's benefit to have free movement while playing the Wii.

It's speculated that this new wireless connectivity would have an adapter plugged into the [Only registered users can see links. ] to receive signals from the Nunchuk.

However, a Nunchuk won't look like the actual martial arts weapon it was named after without the "link" that connects both ends. Introducing a wireless Nunchuk should call for a name-change in the controller's product line, in that case.

As of now, there's no official word from Nintendo, but you can bet your bottom dollar that we'll keep you guys updated on this not-so-surprising-yet-widely-appealing rumor.

For now I'm gonna say this is a rumor until it is announced my Nintendo. That block sticking out of the Wiimote (Nunchuck reciever) is pretty ugly. Hopefully Nintendo will make that smaller like they did wiht the sensor bar before releasing it to the public.

The wire bit already gets in the way too much on some games.
