I4U names Wiii as Gadget of the Year 2006

The Wii's successful global launch was another reason why the I4U team picked it as this year's hottest gadget. Although far from being silky smooth, Wii's launch was better than the PS3 and the Xbox 360's debut.

According to I4U, "Leah and her Wii" got the most page views out of all I4U gadget models (except the PS3 which will be posted next month). That's one more reason why Wii got the top spot. Wait, was it the console or Leah (the model) that brought in the oglers? I4U didn't say.

Wow, launched in November in US, and December in Japan and Europe, yet, gets Gadget of the year title. Must be good

Not sure about gadget of the year, as they're have been some great phones out this year (yup, me is mobile/cell phone addict ), but it definitely is in the top 3 for me

I guess the Wii is a gadget (never thought of it like that before though). It's good to see the Wii getting even more recognition - it's the best console out there right now imo.

Side note: the Wii went up in price on eBay again by about £30-50 . I wish I'd bought one sooner now :retarded:.
