Every new year that rolls by, most of us feel the need to change something about ourselves - poof! they became New Year's resolutions. Things like, "I'm going to learn money management so I could save more gold on potions" or "I'm going to stock more ammo so i could destroy more aliens" are examples. Actually, this would probably be more familiar: "I want to lose weight."
So how could a couch potato gamer burn extra calories while kicking some Rabbid ass? Humorist Tom Coffee shares his exercise regiment for 30 days as a New Year's resolution.
Here's the plan:
* Play extra "active" games on the Wii (meaning games that require more than just flick of the wrist) for the next 30 days. Wii Sports and Rayman Raving Rabbids are excellent examples.
* Take the Wii Sports Fitness test regularly to at least have some sort of yardstick for progress.
* Get off your lazy butt and stand up while exercising. It would help with getting your whole body involved with the exercise.
* Wrist Weights can also be put into the equation for additional resistance.
This could be added to a walking regiment for better results, fresh air is always good. Like any other weight loss program, a healthy diet is a plus. Just steering away from some junkfood would help. Could the Wii really attract people to exercise more? Somebody's bound to come out with a chart and a research paper on it, and while we're waiting we might as well try it.
Haha, sounds good to me lol
Not so sure bout Rayman Raving Rabbids though, but, I can completely agree with Wii Sports, well, Wii Boxing anyway, is the only one that takes effort so tis good
