In a nutshell, the wireless sensor bar widens the connectivity range between the console and the Wiimote up to 25 feet. This range was achieved by the wonder bar through its IR field. It is powered by four AA batteries that provides more or less 30 hours of use.
There is also a power save mode that sounds off an alarm, and automatically shuts off the device, whenever the wireless sensor bar has been powered for too long. Its other features include:
