| Writing Staff ![]() | Managed to get hold of Wii Music yesterday. Anybody else had a go of it? I know it's not out in England as I write this, but I was wondering if anybody outside of the UK had tried this? To me, it just seems like an excuse to throw your arms/hands about and make a virtual racket! lol. Seriously...you can play pretty much any instrument any way you like. Obviously the drums are a big hit as you can just smash your hands around to create a lovely (honest) sound. I do think it might be more of a novelty than anything - can't quite see it doing very well. Might be wrong, we'll see. |

| HOME ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I am thinking it may be novelty but people are talking about it here and the morning show I watch was testing it out and they liked it. Not that they are gaming experts but they are speaking to parents who want to get that awesome christmas buy. Also if it's $49.99 or cheaper and you don't need to buy any more instruments for it then it may be a big hit around the holidays. Another game for the whole family I see it as and that's what is making the Wii popular. |

) and one is a 13 year old. Not only do they eat dinner together but all gaming is done as a family. The Wii doesn't get turned on unless the whole family is involved. My sister and husband are the same way. I don't have children and I am assuming you don't either we both would probably get bored of the game I saw the morning show people use the Wii mote for drumming (no balance board was there). So I don't know if it's easier to use the balance board or a Wii mote....cuz I won't be buying it ![]() | |

| Writing Staff ![]() | We have the balance board because of Wii Fit, and you're right, it doesn't have to be used in Wii Music, but I suppose it adds a sense of realism, you tap your foot on the wii board and it plays part of the drum (I have no idea about musical instruments so I don't know which part it plays!) lol. I don't have kids, but I can certainly see why the Wii is a family console. I do think you need quite a large front room though if you're playing with 3 other people....my rented house would not be sufficient for a 4 player game on the Wii lol! |
