Default Zelda Exploit - WAD INSTALLATION

PLEASE PM ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS

There was also a time when you had to use the ZELDA DISC to access anything (emulators etc) on the Wii.

The homebrew channel would load to something like this:

and it would freeze most of the time.

the emulators would freeze constantly and couldn't hold more than one saved game at at time and you had to use a game cube controller to play.

THEN came the

WAD INSTALLATION is pretty much a way to install Virtual Console Games - Wii Ware games + emulators etc on your Wii.

Once you have the [Only registered users can see links. ] working then you can use the HOMEBREW channel to get WAD's on your Wii.

WAD installation is VERY easy!

Find the WAD file you're looking for

your WAD files go into your WAD FOLDER

NOTE: YOU CAN'T FIT THEM ALL ON YOUR WII

Your Wii only has a certain number of "blocks" available. And some games take up a lil less than 100 blocks...and some take up 100's of blocks.

CHECK OUT YOUR BLOCKS AT Wii menu

go to DATA MANAGEMENT and CHANNELS and you'll see your BLOCKS on the BOTTOM RIGHT

If you put too much content on the WII, an error message will pop up that you need to reduce the space used. You'll have to go to the CHANNELS menu option and erase some to do anything on the Wii.

Put whatever WAD's in your WAD folder on your SD chip.
SUPER MARIO WAD (to start)

Put the chip back into the front Wii slot and go to the HOMEBREW CHANNEL

. press START

. It'll read your card and detect the WAD MANAGER

. select the WAD MANAGER (load)

. it'll load and find any WAD files in your WAD folder. You can use the Dpad on the Wiimote to select the Wad you wanna install

. once you've found the WAD you wanna install...select the + button and it'll ask you to press A to continue.

. The Wii will install it (which can take a moment...just be patient! Once done it'll say press any button to continue

. You can install another WAD if you like, or press HOME to go back to the Wii menu

. and your WAD game is on your Wii to play just like it were a VC game.

NOTE: A common question is "can you go on line after installing WAD's"

I have NOT confirmed this yet!

The rumor was as such: If you use the zelda exploit and install WADs onto your Wii, Nintendo can detect that you installed it an didn't buy it and a message apparently appears on your screen asking you to remove it before you can go on line.
I also heard a rumor that NINTENDO bricks your Wii if it detects your WAD installation (which i HIGHLY doubt)

Anyone using Wii 3.2U when going on line will be prompted to upgrade the firmware to 3.3U

IF you have NOT installed the homebrew channel yet, it is rumored you are not able to install it after this update. I have seen 3.3 HOMEBREW channel installation options on GOOGLE, but I'm still using 3.2u and don't plan to upgrade any time soon, so I can not confirm the ZELDA EXPLOIT will still work.

I have heard that all the update does is search your system for the ZELDA EXPLOIT and delete it. Though all homebrew which was already installed stay on and stay active.

I have yet to test these on a 3.3U (I plan to soon as I know someone with it).

If you have any questions for me please PM me rather than ask in the post (though I'm sure if you do someone will answer you if I don't get to it first).
