Classic gaming greets the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console store once again, as we announce this week's (March 12, 2007) retro trio: Tecmo Bowl (NES), Sonic Spinball (Sega Genesis), and Double Dungeon (TurboGrafx-16).

The first title we'll be mentioning is Tecmo Bowl, an arcade-turned NES sports game. This game allows players to choose from one twelve football teams, and it carries unique features (for its time) like giving players the ability to break tackles in-game. The game allows for 1 to 2 players, and will cost 500 [Only registered users can see links. ].

Next up is Sonic Spinball, originally released for the Sega Genesis console in 1993, before making it to the [Only registered users can see links. ], and then on the Master System in Europe in 1994. In this title, Dr. Robotnik has turned Mt. Mobius into a mechanical fortress powered by the volcano's flowing magma.

From here, Dr. Robotnik begins (as usual) transforming Mobius' animals into robots, and it's once again up to Sonic the Hedgehog to stop his plans - by destroying this mountain base from the inside. The game supports 1 to 4 players, and will cost 800 Wii Points.

Lastly, we have Double Dungeons, originally from the TurboGrafx-16 console. This RPG game allows two players to play simultaneously as they navigate the game's 22 unique scenarios spread out across 6 levels. As players progress, they can also accumulate gold and experience to buy equipment, rest at an inn, or raise their character's level. The game supports 1 to 2 players, and will cost 600 Wii Points.
More games I'd like but, the pricing is all . 800 points for spinball.....

Lol yeah, the price of them is a bit much for my liking.

Would love Sonic Spinball, used to play that for ages, but for 800 points (1000 points = £7)
