Nintendo Wii - First Impressions

Who got their Nintendo Wii and how do you like it? Does it live to the hype that it's easy to control?

When I got it, i didnt like it as much as i thought I would. But now I've been playing it a bit, I do really like it, and I've only been playing the basic games so far - wii sports and wii play.

It does take a little while to get used to how u need to control things, but thats more to do with, how you're standing, holding the wiimote, and distance from the sensor. For example boxing, i was too close to the sensor, and i wasnt doin that good, but now I think I've got pretty much the right distance, and it is easier Just a case of trial and error for some games



The only thing, which i can think of, which is slightly hard to control, is when ur using the keyboard, cuz u gotta have a steady hand to be able to enter stuff, but I think I've got it down fine now. Well, I just sent a msg sayin "hey daantjuh hows it going?" with no mistakes - where as when i was entering my name "Bex", i pressed summit else instead of the x and had to go delete it, then try again.
But again, it just takes a bit of practise


But I've played on my wii more than my 360 already (total time played too me means, not just daily/weekly, but overall ) And I've only had it a week, and have less games for it

Initially, I was trying to figure out how to get to Crawler's house and hijack that Wii. Cuz I realized bex was way too far way for me to even try or think about it.

Then I saw the commercials, and in the stores....I wanted it. Like a alcoholic wants a drink. I was thirsty.

Then I purchased one yesterday and I am in love. If this console was a woman... well you get the idea. I like the fact it came with a game for you. Very smart of Nintendo and makes me appreciate them even more. 5 different ones to be exact. They might be simple but very fun to play.

The controller I had no problems with. I mean I had seen it before and wasn't expecting to be able to just pick up the thing and be a Wii mote master ...you know?

I love the browser. I can watch [Only registered users can see links. ] and check my email and see
[Only registered users can see links. ] on a big screen. Who could ask for more?

The games are always good so I am not worried about that. All in all so far I give this console a 8/10. Glad I bought it.
