Default No Bake Cookies

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup cocoa

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup peanut butter (optional)

1 stick butter

1/2 cup milk

3 cups oatmeal

Mix everything except oatmeal in a saucepan, bring to boil, boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add oatmeal. Spoon onto pan and let cool. These will start to solidify quickly.

These look yummy! My sister and I always make cookies on christmas eve, I just might throw this into the mix.

Thanks!

I grew up on these and they are great in the summertime when you don't want to heat up the house with the oven. I love them both with and without the peanut butter. What is also fun is to add different things into them like either chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips, coconut, mini marshmallows (cut into smaller pieces, though), etc. Even dried cranberries. They are great to make and are very child friendly if they like to help out in the kitchen.
