New England-Style Clam Chowder

New England-Style Clam Chowder

Ingredients:

• 2 cans chopped clams and juice
• 2 med. potatoes
• 2 T. chopped onion
• 1/2 c. margarine
• 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
• 4 c. half & half
• 1/2 t. salt
• 1/4 t. pepper

Directions:

1. Cook clams and vegetables in saucepan until tender.
2. Melt margarine in large saucepan.
3. Add flour; mix well.
4. Add half & half.
5. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
6. Add salt and pepper.
7. Combine with clam mixture.
8. Cook until heated through.

Yield: 8 servings
