Things are looking very bright indeed for the homebrew scene these days, and most people may be thinking that Sony has nothing more [Only registered users can see links. ]. Well, it seems that Sony took a few steps away from that direction, and is now engaged with trying to lure fans back.

New Media Age reports that Sony Computer Entertainment [Only registered users can see links. ] ([Only registered users can see links. ]) is currently having discussions with the [Only registered users can see links. ] television station Sky, regarding a future venture which will allow PSP users to download television shows.

As a brief note for our non-European readers, Sky broadcasts high-caliber programs in the UK and in Ireland. Among the shows that they air, Lost, 24, [Only registered users can see links. ], Pokemon, Deadwood and Stargate SG-1, are just a few. These programs are quite popular, as you all know, and this strategy is expected to draw a lot of money people if it proves to be successful.

Details are a bit scarce as of now, but we will be sure to update you as soon as we get new information. The said service is believed to go live later this year.
I think, this could be a great idea, but..............ya just know its going to cost lots of money, more than it should cost anyway. And considering many people who do watch movies/tv shows on their PSP, probably know where to 'acquire' video's already, I don't think it will prove very popular, but, that's just my 2 cents. And talking of the Simpsons, I think its time I went and watched the latest episode....

Yeah, nice idea in theory .

Sony cant be naive enough to think people will pay for shows they can download for free. I would imagine/hope theyre coming up with something special or....theys dead
