PSP 3000 Hacked?

This tool is known as the "Datel’s Lite Blue Tool Service Mode Battery." However, this piece of development has not been yet confirmed, so fingers crossed eh? Continue to read more about this and understand how they actually accomplished this feat.

Users can also toggle between normal and service mode, so this tool can be used for upgrading/hacking purposes as well as to use your PSP in the normal way. Cool huh? The Lite Blue Tool will be available November 28th retailing for $29.99 across North America and $19.99 in the UK. Again, I can't say for sure that this would work, but at least they claim it does! This is what they had to say :

"“Although there were early indications that the PSP3000 had embedded Service Mode capability, it was clear that silicon level investigation would be required to understand the new mechanism” said Datel."

"“Once the target IC had been identified, our engineers then de-capsulated the device and prepared it for hi-resolution SEM imaging” he added, explaining the high-tech methods employed in this project."

"The engineers then used circuit extraction to reveal the additional service mode only encryption functions which were not present on earlier generation PSPs. In order to be compatible with these encryption functions, Datel created an advanced IC controller which will be put straight into use in their newest service mode battery technology."

This is good news either way though isnt it? Means theres some hope of a hacked 3000 at some point?

Hope this does make it hackable . May get a PSP 3000 in that case...........once custom firmware works on it anyway . Anyone want to get one of these for DA? . He has got a PSP 3000 right?
