Bye Bye Extended Battery Life

Sony's PSP extended battery life kit, which offered up to 12 hours of PSP battery life within one charge has been discontinued.

Al de Leop from SCE confirmed that the battery kit will be discontinued. "Yes, we are discontinuing this product as we look for other opportunities to service the consumer,"

If you haven't got one, then you're now out of luck (unless of course you find one on ebay ) but hopefully something similar will be released - apart from the datel battery pack.

the moment i read about it, the next day out I went throughout the city trying to find one, luckily I found the last one in a Kmart in the middle of no where, I am very pleased with my purchase, and to seal the deal my hand grip charger came in as well, so it was a happy day for the psp.

This doesnt bother me, I have stuck to the original phat psp battery 4 life.

I think its only worth looking for it if you have a slim, I'm getting about 8 to 10 hours of game time on full volume and brightness setting 2.

actually two so if u want one lol . with lots of travling lately got 2 . but now no use my psp broke

Supposedly, they might make a come-back once the psp-3000 comes out, lets see how that turns out.

Congrats your right.The PSP extended battery life pack is not being discontinued and will be available to consumers this holiday season.
