all i know is that it is sopposed to be slimmer and have 8gb of memory.

sopposedly, the extra memory is for the downloadable ps1 games sony hopes to sell.

any news on the price? i hear it should stay the same.

Rumours, thats all they seem to be. Sony aren't confirming anything and they usually wait a bit longer between hardware launches (usually 4 years between eg PS1 and PS2). Some sources say that Sony arent going to make a PSP2 at all, but are going to gradually upgrade the current model in a similar way to how Apple have upgraded/updated the ipod, adding features to it rather than completely redesigning it and launching an ipod2.

The numerous rumoured features of the 'PSP2' change depending on the source, but 8gb would be pretty damn good, if it was true. The fact that Sony have prepared to allow the PS3 to store the downloadable PS1 games to save PSP memory gives me the impression that the 8gb rumour is just that.

I'd love to see a PSP2 with a whole bundle of new features, but the PSP is pretty good already so its not the end of the world if there isnt a PSP2 just yet (or at all, but Sony need to update it at some point).

Until Sony get their act together and stabilise the PS3 launch (make the things and get them out there), I doubt they'lle confirm or deny any plans for the PSP2, but we shall see .

I thought teh Mylo was supposed to be their newst and greatest? I really don't think that there will be a PSP2. I mean with the crap that Sony is putting out now for the PSP who would buy it? The DS LIte is more enticing if you ask me Whicih is why I bought one,... So that being said there will be no PSP2. The mylo will faill as cell phones can acheive the same goals that the mylo offers...

I guess the release of that piece of plastic could affect any plans for a PSP2 release - why Sony are wasting their time and money on it I'll never know, they should be putting their resources into improving the PSP imo .
