We get you all the details of this rather unfortunate turn of events.

The news comes directly from becus25's own blog, with only a single entry that holds his final message to the homebrew scene. Fortunately, he also included an English version of his farewell letter. Here it is, verbatim:

Definitively I am not in a good moment. They have been several things that have happened these days which I want neither to remember nor to mention anything. I leave the scene. The code of the IE will not be thrown for personal reasons.

I sit it. A greeting.

Certainly a sad day indeed. We wish becus25 the best of luck with his future endeavors, and give him thanks for all the work he's put into contributing to the homebrew scene as we know of it.

Sony hounding another coder? Or personal reasons?

Makes you wonder.

The two leading Custom firmware coders, both leave the scene within weeks of each other.
DA was the most famous and first to go. Becus25 also around then and now gone. Now we have others to take their places, but, how long till they go? :-(

Makes you wonder indeed if Sony played apart in this

let me get this right. Sony wants to offer the same crappy content provided in the same crapy "security fixes" and expect us to not want more They don't even want t work with these people to see perhaps if they can bring us more fun than they aren't at this point.

Meh.....I am done with sony.
