Default Complete Devhook 0.46 Tutorial

This is a complete tutorial for Devhook (1.5 firmware). It includes installation instructions and 'how to use' instructions plus USB mode and custom firmware instructions. I intend to add a section on flashing devhook and devhook shortcuts too. Also included is a link to the full devhook installer pack which I've uploaded (if link ever goes down, let me know). I've tested the tutorial, but if anyone tries it I'd appreciate your feedback .

Devhook .46 Installer Link (for PSP 1.5 only)

Installation Instructions:

a. Connect your PSP & PC via USB cable

b. Turn psp ON without UMD , scroll to the left and choose USB Connection

c. On PC side, RUN the executable "UI v1.1.1.exe", NEXT two times

d. Choose "DevHook 0.46 with 2.71 Firmware" then NEXT

e. Then AGREE then NEXT, choose PSP drive (Usually F: ) then NEXT.
*OPTIONAL but recommended - run setup again to install USB Support and stop DevHook Autorun.

f. COPY the game.iso/cso to the ISO folder on the PSP drive (eg F:/ISO/)

Devhook should now be installed!

Running Devhook Instructions:

On your PSP press cancel to disable PC connection
Scroll to the far right with the controller Icon, choose Game/Memory Stick
You will see 2 programs:

1. DevHook .46 Main Program
2. Return to 1.5 ( when in 2.xx emulated firmware, choosing this will take you back to the onboard 1.5 firmware)

Choose 1 " Devhook .46 Main Program" then input this setup:
(After running devhook some people that didn’t install USB should press O to stop the autorun)

UMD SELECT - "game title".iso/cso (select the game you're going to play)
UMD MOUNT - ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION - 2.xx-> 2.00
FIRMWARE - 2.71

This speeds up the running process to get to the GAME.
Install this Only if DevHook is Stable (Working Properly)
Instructions - Simply Paste the contents on your MS then scroll to GAME/ MEMORY STICK, and Run "CUSTOM FIRMWARE"
-new psp startup settings-
Turn ON PSP with WIFI switch ON - Boot on regular 1.5 XMB (Normal)
Turn ON PSP with WIFI switch OFF - Boot Directly to the last selected Emulated FW of DevHook (eg 2.71) if UMD is inside PSP it will play automatically the last Chosen game from DevHook.
Turn ON PSP then quickly setting it to HOLD position (power switch positioned full down) - will take you to the CUSTOM FIRMWARE settings.

"DISCLAIMER"

CUSTOM FIRMWARE is optional and I am including for info only – I don’t use this custom firmware and can not offer support (I’ll try though).
This program writes to your psp FLASH so be careful installing this as this can brick your psp if done incorrectly. Once installed your PSP will not run if there's no memory stick and the WIFI switch OFF.

I take no responsibility for your use of any flashing techniques – be careful if you use them, keep the psp plugged in to the electricity mains and if you don’t understand something STOP and find out.
