Downkey gets stuck in games only

Hi!

I am using PSP slim with 4.01 M33-2 (just updated from 3.90). After a few months with no problems, the down key gets stuck in selecting down all the time. But this does not happen in the normal menues (no hardware problem), but only when I have selected a game, either on UMD or memory stick. I have reformated the memorystick, updated to 4.01, no change. I have tried the memorystick in another PSP, and here it worked without any problems.

Anybody have a clue why this happens and what can be done?

Your analog nub is probably messed up and registering as down all the time. Since the nub doesn't work in the xmb, that would explain why this only happens for you in games.

As for fixing it, I'm not really sure. I don't think there's anything you can really do about it except for maybe removing the nub from the PSP internally.

If it is the nub..............fiddling around helps sometimes apparently . Or taking the case off and fiddling, but cuz it's the nub I doubt it'll be that, but perhaps a new nub could.

I did not think it was the analog nub that was the problem, yes it seems to get stuck, but I can fix it!
