Default MP4 on the PSP

Hi everybody! Back again! Just found out I'm pregnant so I've been feeling a bit pukey and haven't been able to get on computer lately.
Yet again, I have a question. We would like to put mp4's on our PSP to entertain our wee man on long journeys in a car. How do we do this? Thanks guys!!

[Only registered users can see links. ]

ANY MP4 video/movie goes into the VIDEO folder of your PSP. Located in the same place as your PICTURE, MUSIC, PSP, MP_ROOT folders.

Make sure you have a big enough memory stick for it.

If you have any specific movie needs, please ask and I'll PM you some. (NOT promising I can grant 100% of them, but I can look into your request (you can PM me and I'll get to your request faster)

Can I ask what video/movie you're trying to play?

Do you have the video/movie in its own FOLDER and do you have that folder in the VIDEO folder

example

VIDEO>FOLDER>MOVIE.MP4

OR VIDEO>MOVIE.MP4

make sure it's just VIDEO folder and MP4 MOVIE

There is a chance the video is bad.

option 1 - re-convert it (time consuming, but works) with a program called PSP VIDEO 9
option 2 - get it from another source (again, lemme know what the movie is and I can look into PMing you a link)

We don't allow linking to illegal content on this site, so we couldn't say where to get correctly formatted PSP movies.
So you can either try and find it yourself, or, if you have the dvd already (or even avi)...........................

You'll need [Only registered users can see links. ] to rip the movie from the DVD. It will save it in VOB format.
[Only registered users can see links. ] can convert VOB (and avi) format videos to PSP format and can even transfer it for you to the correct folder if you have the PSP connected at the time.

By film you bought, do you mean a UMD movie?
Restriction wise, when it comes to UMD movies, you can only play UMD movies with the same region code as your PSP. Or change the region code using the recovery menu of custom firmware.
Unfortunately, that's something I've never been able to try as I haven't got any US UMD movies.
Mp4 wise, the PSP is a swine .
PSP converted MP4s will work on the PSP, PS3 and iPod.
However iPod converted MP4s don;t work on the iPod, neither do PS3 converted MP4s (however PS3 MP4s DO play on the iPod ) So yeah, PSPVideo9 is greatly recommended by me, guaranteed to get PSP mp4 format movies .
