Is the PSP region free????????

I plan on getting a Japanese PSP (gold or silver) but I want to know if it is region free before I buy it as there are some games I want that I'd have to import unless it could play isos and if so are they region free?

PSPs can play games from any region, so if its just games you'll be using it for, no problem, can use any region games. - Although you will have to use O button for enter instead of X, although install custom firmware, and you can use the button switcher - which is what I've done on my blue PSP.


The only thing that is region locked, is UMD movies.......but again, custom firmware sorts that out
