Today Ubisoft announced it is bringing the Driver franchise to the PSP in the form of Driver 76. The game will be an all-new Driver outing, with 27 new missions designed for racing on the go.
The Driver franchise got its start on the PlayStation back in 1999 and was published by GT Interactive (which, in a roundabout way, is now Atari). Ubisoft took the franchise off Atari's hands last year, and Driver 76 will be the company's first lap around the track with the series.
Fans of the series will find plenty of car chases, 70's music, and on-foot exploration. Set in 1976, two years before Driver: Parallel Lines, 76 follows six different story lines.
The game includes several multiplayer modes: Street Racing, Destruction Derby, Pink Slip Racing, and Swap Meet. There will also be downloadable content such as new paint jobs to spruce up the vehicles you collect on your way.
| Could be good - I liked Driver on the PS1 and 2 so hopefully it'll work out for the PSP too
