I dont really play a lot of games on my PSP these days and the games I play are on UMD. I have used iso's when games were more expensive but, I can pick up a PSP UMD for a couple of £ now so I just do that instead.

You should edit the option for the use of iso's as backups.

I use CSO more then ISO as its compressed ISO....and I got em all on exteranl HDD, I got about 5 UMD games, about 150 CSo's lol, if its a special game like FFVII Crisis Core Special Edition I buy the game, I also got tons of PS2 ISO's and eboots of PSX..lol plus roms of Genesis/MS/N64 etc for my DS (not N64 as trhye dont run on DS/PSP) and dont say Daedadulus its shite emu....Project 64 on PC is ok...

ok, i use them, too, but its mostly cause i think they charge outrageous prices for a tiny disc in a flimsy-ass case that ends up breaking within a month (for me, anyways, maybe its just my kids, they can be rough with them at times!

I don't buy em
If you ask me why, It's because they don't sell psp games in Jordan.

Nina has mixed feelings about these.

They can be friggin expensive. Good games are like $40 - $50.
The last UMD I bought for the purpose of playing was DRAGONEERS ARIA. I bought CRISIS CORE but that was to keep it in its plastic for keep sake! Never opened, and don't plan to open it.

I think the "problem" is there are not enough DEMO's out there. I know it's not the responsibility of the companies to make the UMD's and make a DEMO, but I think "pirating" would drop CONSIDERABLY if there were more demo's out there.

DEMO's give you a teaser taste of what the game is supposed to be. It seemed to work for RESISTANCE. There was mega hype over the demo...and it's just the demo!

One of the first demo's I ever played was KILLZONE Liberation. It was phenomonal! After I modded my PSP, it was one of the first games I looked up.

Playing from UMD drains the battery life much quicker & it's slower to load
Playing from memory stick loads a lil faster, and doesn't drain the battery NEARLY as bad. I have a 2200mAh

and on a full charge, I can get about 8 or 9 hours out of it. I also keep the screen as dark as possible most of the time.

I have a 4 gig chip and have over 12 games (not bragging, just giving you an example). Sometimes I feel like racing....throw BURN OUT (or something) in. Sometimes I feel like being a ninja (throw TENCHU in).
Again, these are all just examples. We're extremely spoiled to be able to have this luxury. We have more games than we can play in our life time.
BUT Sony has released at least 3 hand helds:

original PHAT psp (don't know how many mother boards)
original SLIM (there's the modable SLIMs and the "unmodable" slims)
and the "infamous" V3 or PSP3000 which hackers are working on.

these are just the ones we know about. I'm sure they have a dual analog PSP on a shelf somewhere they didn't release. They prolly have a touch screen PSP on a shelf somewhere etc.

point is, "pirating" isn't killing them that bad. New games come out all the time. New PSP's come out regualrly...

I heavily support buying games. After all..if you don't buy the games...then the developers have no money to release more games for people to pirate.

BUT I heavily support the modding concept. What if I wanna throw super mario brothers...or I wanna play PSX games I already own on the PSP? I love that my PSP has that option. I love playing with PLUGINS and I love playing with FLASH0 themes etc.

ISO/CSO is definitley one's opinion/choice. I for one don't parade my PSP. People bring me their PSP's asking me to mod 'em, and I don't charge for that (don't support charging for it). And its up to them what they do with it afterwards.

ISO/CSO for testing is excellent! But we wouldn't have to do it if we had more DEMO's to download.
