Can we play PS1 games on 4.01 M33-2??

i was wondering if there is a way to play ps1 games on psp 4.01 M33-2?? I downloaded crash bandicot 3 [ps: crash series is classic and timeless!!!] ... and it has the following files... Eboot.pbp, .DS_Store and KEYS.BIN

But I dont know how to use those files to get the game started on my psp... could someone please help me out? and also... is there any place where i can get the games from Crash Bandicot in .iso or .cso form??

Download[Only registered users can see links. ] and copy the files onto your PSP. If you're using CXMB or any other plugins, don't overwrite vsh.txt instead edit the text file and include the line ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx.

Enable the popsloader via recovery menu.

Are those files in a folder? Move the folder over to PSP/GAME (if they're not in a folder, create a folder with the game name and place those files inside of it. You should then be able to run the PS1 games

You mean PS1 Crash games? If so, you can only get them in the format you've got now.

Umm, i dont use PoPsloader but my PS1 games still work
i playing Megaman X4 and it has the EBOOT.PBP and KEYS.BIN file inside the folder, i dont think i ever had one with .DS_STORE file before

For some games u dont need popsloader, Because that game works on ur firmware Which I dont know ,But some games Example:Final fantasy VIII Require a older kind of firmware pops, What a popsloader does exackly is it loads the pops from a older firmware so games can run on it,(Mostly this is needed for intro movies or movies in the game) Which is prob why Crash didnt work at the beginning Understand?

I have 4.01 m33-2 and im trying to play ffVII but after i press "new game" all i get is a black screen... i'm not too familiar with how to do this popsloader stuff...any more detailed info on how to get my game to play?

Edit: Uh I hate to be a bother, but Final Fantasies 7-9 still only show a black screen after you select new game. I read through this thread, but I don't really understand why this problem occurs. Can someone plz help me?
