Default CTF Manager v2

A new entry has been added to Download Database

Description: Red Squirrel has updated his CTF Manager to work with 4.01 while continuing to support 3.71 and 3.90

CTF Manager is a simple GUI for ctf/unctf tools.
With this program you can create CTF theme files directly on your PC, without the need of a PSP! You can also extract files from a CTF file and install CTF themes in your PSP!

Nah, not all girls here, just cuz girls game.

Im in the process of trying to make a guide on how to make your own ctf. Unfortunately, it can't be summed up in a couple of sentences, but, I can try

You will need:
RCOedit
Resurssiklunssi v0.2
Sony Theme Converter
CTF Manager
Photoshop or GIMP
Decrypted firmware

Firstly, you'll need to make the icons using photoshop or GIMP.
They need to be 64x64. There are ways to make them perfect, but, i'll just give the brief details here.
So yeah, the icons need to be 64x64 and saved as BMP 32-bit.

Once you've done that for all the icons, you also need to make, in photoshop
PTF icon file (16x16, 256 colors, PNG format) and PTF preview file (300x170, 24Bit true color, BMP format)

From there, you need to, get your decrypted firmware and take the topmenu_ico.rco and open with with Resurssiklunssi (which I haven't actually used myself yet) and recompile it for use with any firmware.
Open RCOedit and open the recompiled topmenu_icon.rco Replace the icons that you want to, with the ones created.

It saves it as you go.

Now, you need the Sony theme converter to create a PTF, guide - [Only registered users can see links. ]

Now............you've got the ptf file and you're edited topmenu_icon.rco, decide if you want to change the font as well, or add any other stuff, like a custom wave, custom background (check out our theme packs and our master fonts list)

If you choose a font, create a folder called font and put it in there. For the topmenu_icon.rco (and anything else you want customising) create a folder called vsh, inside of that, create a folder called resource, then put the files in there.

Now, open ctf manager, tell it where the vsh folder and font folder is, and load up the ptf file. And it should create the CTF for you .

If it doesn't, move the vsh and font folder along with the ptf file, to your memory stick which needs to go in the cxmb folder. Also in the cxmb folder, theres a file called conf.txt open that and it needs to read /PSP/THEME/xxxx.ptf (xxxx being the name of the ptf file you made).

Reboot your PSP and it should convert that to a CTF if the first method doesn't work.

Hope that helps

Not all the files needed are on the site yet, but I'm working on it but i need to test them out first - well resurssiklunssi anyway.
