Default Sony Launching new Eye Toy for PS3
Sony announced today that they are reinventing the Eye Toy (of PS2 fame) and are going to be producing the Playstation Eye for the PS3 generation.


The Playstation Eye will incorporate a newer sensor which will help in lower-light scenes and dramatically improve the frame rate for improved tracking in motion-sensitive games. The camera’s microphone is also going to be improved greatly and will adapt specifically to voices and will filter background noise for chats and voice commands.

New sotware will be important in the revamp and a new program called EyeCreate will allow users to record audio and video to the PS3’s hard drive and apply effects.

The USB-based Eye is expected to be available sometime this summer.
