| From July 1, Sony Australia will be providing buyers of new full-HD Bravia televisions a brand new PlayStation 3 as well. The promotion, which is similar to a promotion that ran earlier this year, aims to give away 35,000 PS3s to buyers of Sony's range of HD LCD displays. Get updated on how many PS3s are remaining via a real-time running countdown [Only registered users can see links. ]. Alternatively you can SMS 'how many' to 0429 025 025 or call 1800 882 172. "High definition TV sales are going to sky-rocket in July," said Carl Rose, Managing Director of Sony Australia. "Whether it's getting ready to see our heroes go for gold in Beijing, watching AFL's finest as the 2008 season hots up or experiencing major blockbuster movies and games on Blu-ray, there is a wealth of exhilarating Full HD content waiting for you." Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia and New Zealand, Michael Ephraim said, "Those who haven't experienced the power of PlayStation 3 and the new world of HD entertainment don't know what they're missing out on. Through the combined power of the two Sony companies, we're giving 35,000 Australians the chance to find out exactly what tens of millions of people around the world are already experiencing for themselves." The offer applies to all of Sony's Full HD Bravia LCD TV line-up purchased from Tuesday 1st July and continues until all the available PS3s have been redeemed. The promotion includes the new Bravia V and W Series Full HD LCD TVs, which offer improved features such as Bravia Engine 2, Intelligent Picture and MPEG Noise Reduction to enhance the true-to-life quality from standard definition sources. The new range also includes the award winning Xross Media Bar (XMB) navigation, as already seen on the PS3 and PlayStation Portable (PSP), and provides a logical and fast way to access set up menus and user controls.
