Default Older PC Games

I was wondering, regarding people with super computers, if they have had any good results with taking an older game ...and maxing out the graphics and its effects with your experience and enjoyment...

Example: eq2 I did not like too much when i played in past.... but I can now do MAX dangerously High settings with no sweat, and I love the game now...

Anyone get any results with old games that changed their experience?

Systems I own:

PS3 (still waiting for its potential to be used - Blu Ray Rocks - except film grain)
Wii ( You don't always need advanced technology to make great games )
XBOX 360 ( Great games and Great Online service

GAMING PC ( When it comes to mods etc PC shines )
Core 2 Quad @ 3.6 ghz
8800 gtx
2gb RAM
10k rpm hdd
Raid 0 setup
24 inch 1920-1200 Gateway monitor

Film grain? It looks fantastic to me, my husband and I put a regular dvd in and then a blue ray one in on both of our tvs to look at the difference, and that was just it; absolutely no film grain. Maybe it's your tv?

I think with change of hardware configuration your experience do changes like when i was playing NFS Underground on my one of the older PC's i did not like the game ,as sometimes it used to hang a little but when i played the same game on my new LAP,i just became a fan of it
