Default Windows XP SP3 Full Details


The “Secret Pre-Release Details” for the Windows XP Service Pack 3 are up on Tech ARP. Actually everyone will have access to this information Monday when SP3 goes live through Windows Update. In case you just can’t bare surprises, you can get the full details on [Only registered users can see links. ].

For any gamers smart or lucky enough to stay away from Vista, this is as good as it gets. SP3 is supposedly the last update for Windows XP.

They could've given something huge and exciting for XP users instead of hotfixes, if they're killing XP anyway. There should be something more.....

All this does is check what patches/fixes you don't have and compiles them into one download.

SP3 essentially adds all patches and hotfixes into one package. Bear in mind you can not download hotfixes from Windows Update. It also includes extra features for wireless, such as WPA2 AES which was distributed as an update for SP2, but not on Windows Update.
