| Hi All I'm from DS:London and like to thank Bex for permission to post this up! I hope soome of you can join us! To celebrate the London Games Festival, DS:London in association with the London Games Festival Fringe, will attempt to break the World record for the most number of people playing a DS at the same time. And we'd like you to help and join in. Budding record-breakers should bring their Nintendo DS, nicely charged up, and their favourite games to the Rocket Center, 166-220 Holloway Road, N7 8DB on Saturday 25th of October. We need 400 to 500 people to break the record, which stands at a humble 381. This is an official World record attempt with adjudication from Guinness on the day. The day kicks off at 4pm for registration and pre attempt fun with the record attempt starting at 5pm and All members of the public are welcome. Young or old! The gaming doesn’t stop there – you’ll have the chance to make new friends, play new games and, most important of all, have fun! Then after wards there will be a pub evening (over 18's only) and the odd bragging rights tournament. To break the record, we'll need to play our DS consoles for five minutes non-stop – doesn't matter if it's in a linked game or not. Turn up no later than 5pm if you wish to take part in the record attempt. We'll be joined on the day by the Girl Gamers Tournament. Time and resource allowing there will be a pub quiz (over 18's only) in the evening, we hope to also have some other smaller events such as a raffle or maybe a tournament. Go to [Only registered users can see links. ] to register on our mailing list for the latest information on what is happening or check out the Facebook event. [Only registered users can see links. ] This is a free event. We will have a collection on the day for voluntary cash donations that will go to Children In Need. ***LATEST*** we are going to be joined by Nintendo themselves for this event! They will be filming a short doc that will appear on the Wii Channel. The shorts will be looking at different aspects of gaming culture. | 360Gamer© ![]() | I live in England . But I won't be going, the train prices are atrocious for such short notice, especially to London. Given the right amount of time, I could go for £11, but I didn't book 6 months in advance, so you can change that to £200 .I traded my DS in a couple of weeks ago though so I couldn't go and help anyway. But the girl gaming event (GRL GMR Tournament) is on the same day, I so wish I could go to that . |

| 360Gamer© ![]() | Lol, 6 months was a bit of an exageration. But yeah, if I booked in advance by a 2-3 months, it would only cost me £11. I'm not sure if that's single or return though. But, if I were to book it now, it'd probably cost me £200 for a return ticket. Or £180 for a single there. I'm gonna go check now lol ............................. the times I put in, I could get a return for £100 and single tickets from £74 lol. That's cheaper than I last looked for short notice tickets, but still too much cuz I'd have to stay overnight there as well. |
