Irish Queen: not for the faint hearted.

You will need:

a good Gin (your choice)

Lime cordial (preferably green)
Ice (crushed)
spring water or chilled tap water
1 lemon (fresh)
1 lime (fresh)
lemon or lime cubed jelly (jello)


one blender
one glass or ceramic
and one kettle

(for 1 liter of fun)

put on the kettle and add the boiling water to oyur jelly (jello) and keep it as strong as possable and in a liquid form (dont put it in the fridge)

Top and tail and slice your lemon and lime and place in the blender
and top to about half way with fresh chilled water.

when the fruit is reduced add a small amount of cordial to the mix (untill it turns green) and add your alcohol 2-3 measures of gin (but i add 4) and continue to mix on a slow speed and add a small amout of ice, when the ice is crushed transfer the liquid to a jug and put it in the fridge for about 20 mins.


add the rest of your ice to each glass and your very chilled liquid (which should now look like a green alcoholic slushie) untill the glass is about 2/3 full and pour the still liquid jelly (jello) to the top of each glass.

as the jelly hits the glass it should begin to solidify (only a little though) and seep through the ice.

at this time you have 2 choices:

#1. put your glases in the firdge and leave it to solidify totaly, then turn it out onto a plate and enjoy an alcoholic dessert.

OR

#2. put a straw in each glass and rember to drink from the bottom.


WARNING: this thing hits you like a velvet hammer, you will bearly taste the alcohol through the citris fruit and sweetness of the drink and you will find yourself getting tipsy very very quickly.
