Default Guess what I saw in my local Pawn shop

Does anyone remember one for the first handheld systems that did color. And it wasn't the Nintendo Gameboy color or Neo Geo. One of the first systems to do color screen with it backlit was the Sega GameGear. I saw on last week at my local pawn shop and almost fell out. That was the only handheld that had color and backlighting that didn't need an attached mini light or a lamp to play it in the dark.

The only thing that sucked is that it ate batteries up like candy. You could put a new pack of batteries in and they would be dead I think in about an hour. Thats why all the smart kids had adaptors.

Anyway I was just shocked someone still had one cause those things came out in the late 80's or early 90's. If I'm not mistaken NIN first Game boy was still Black and green screen when Sega came out with this marvel. It was ahead of it's time. Now all handhelds have color screen and are backlit.

I think my local Gamestation, they have a gamegear in there for sale.
They got most of their pre-owned stuff as window display, and yeah, I definitely seen one there. I was very tempted to get it lol

Although, I was unaware that they were first to do color and backlight
Makes sense from what I've read, but, never put two n two together, to realise it was the first

I never had a Gamegear . I wanted one but, I never got one. I eventually got a Gameboy but, I secretly yearned for the Gamegear .

I might check out Gamestation. I'm sure Ive seen them there too. I'd never of thought about it but, I have the urge to get one now. I need to see what I missed out on first time round .
