| Gaming Guru ![]() | ![]() ![]() ESRB Rating: T for Violence Genre: Action Local Play: 2 Versus Also Available On: Nintendo DS Release Date: December 5, 2006 MSRP: $39.99 IGN says Star Wars: Lethal Alliance immerses players in an adventure that takes place between Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV A New Hope. Gamers will engage in collaborative gameplay as they embody both Twi'lek Rianna Saren and her security droid Zeeo. Hired by the Rebel Alliance, this deadly duo must work together to infiltrate Imperial planets and fight legions of evil fiends. Our heroes' ultimate goal: Uncover the Empire's most deadly secret -- the Death Star. ![]() ![]() Rianna Saren Rianna Saren is the heroine of the Star Wars: Lethal Alliance videogame. ![]() Zeeo (Star Wars) Zeeo is the floating robot sidekick of the Star Wars: Lethal Alliance videogame. Officially known as Z-58-0 Security Droid, Zeeo is a highly efficient, multifunctional security droid. ![]() STORY 9/10 9/10 is props to the brave people who took the challenge to create the background story of HOW the rebels got the plans for the death star. The story is you play the character who gets the plans for the death star into the rebel's hands. Any Star Wars fans knows there is PLENTY of room in the star wars story line (all 6 episodes) to give background stories here and there. This game is a great example of how the star wars story can be expanded. ...BUT...ALL they had was a good idea for a good story... ![]() ![]() GRAPHICS 7/10 They were alright. Released about 2 years ago. They are OK...but not great. Force Unleashed was a decent improvement (in comparison). But it still gives you a good feeling like you're in the star wars universe. ![]() SOUND 8/10 Good voice acting! Original Star Wars sounds! Great with headphones or plugged into a stereo. GAME PLAY 6/10 a SIX out of 10 is a SEVERE mercy point! Even though the story IDEA was good...the game in itself was a pretty big let down! At the beginning, it's pretty cool to hook up some decent martial arts and kick butt! The main character has a "Light Saber" blade which comes out of her wrist (almost like Wolverine's claw...but one handed). It's kinda fun at at first to get into the star wars universe and kick butt. But the levels get VICIOUSLY repetitious! You DO get some decent combo moves to take out your enemy...but all in all...I'd rather be a JEDI and work it! You get guns, bombs etc, but you don't have any force powers, and except the fact that you know martial arts...there's nothing else exciting about it. The floating robot you get (Zeeo) does a couple small "tricks" which ALMOST give you a "jedi" feeling. . Zeeo can generate a force shield while you hold him (which lasts as long as his power bar will last...only a few seconds) and can reflect blaster shots. But it doesn't last long. . Zeeo can dart out and smack a far enemy (almost like the force push) . At times, you can grab Zeeo and to a couple neat combo tricks to take out your enemy...but when you only have so many moves...it gets kinda lame. . Zeeo can stick to some walls and help you climb up...but you see a clear "circle" on the wall...so you know where he's going next. . Zeeo can do the R2D2 thing and open up locks etc. There are sometimes when Zeeo is opening up a huge lock and it takes a couple minutes...so you gotta fight things off to give him time to open the door. . Other levels are like the JEDI super speed. Zeeo is flying through a TIGHT tunnel (or just flying through something which doesn't have a floor etc) and you can hold "L" to move yourself to the left and dodge something which was gonna hit you. OR "R" to dodge to the right. OR BOTH "R" and "L" to stand on Zeeo and "surf" for a moment until you shorly fall back down and hold on to Zeeo for dear life. The levels are kinda fun at the beginning...but it doesn't take long for them to get WAY too repetitious. ![]() MULTIPLAYER 5/10 I only tested it with one other PSP...so two players with the same character beating each other up...it's an enchanced game of Chess... ![]() RE-PLAYABILITY 3/10 Good for a first time play (maybe). Mostly just something you can play to get the story out of. With Force Unleashed out...and after playing it...I'd MUCH rather be a JEDI. Good try guys...good idea for a story line...but the game itself needed more work to make it more fun.
