examining the technology behind some of the largest feats of engineering
In each ep, they examine the technology behind some of the largest feats of engineering and how they became what they are today.
They do this by showing which the Biggest one is today of the topic, and how it started, and which buildings/whatever, contributed to how its built today. How they overcome difficulties, or as they call it, leaps
The first ep, was looking at airports as per the opening of Heathrow Terminal 5. Starting with one of the first airports and what obsticals they overcame, such as jets being too heavy for the runway, how passengers can get to the plane without being blown over by the wind. And some other stuff.
Episode 1 focused on airports
Episode 2 focused on Skyscrapers
Episode 3 focused on Bridges
And Episode 4 looked at aircraft carriers.
