How to install IRSHELL on firmware 4.01 m33-2 (slim)
1) download irshell v3.9 from here:

2) download no firmware patch from here:
irshell.org (You are required to sign up for access)
No Firmware patch
The no firmware patch was developed by the supposedly retired AHman,
who originally devleloped the no firmware patch for use with firmware 3.90 m33.
However so much so did I miss IRSHELL, I decided to do some research.
As such, I discovered this.
Don't worry this no firmware patch cannot harm your
psp in any way.
3) After downloading irshell, as u probably already know, the files IRSHELL,
GAME, and README are resultant of you're download. In the file irshell, there should be a file called BIN.
Go ahead and place the no firmware patch file into BIN.
